Perseverance.
Reinvention.

Are you ready to turn the page on the past and script a new chapter in your life? “Perseverance. Reinvention.” is not intended to be a memoir. It is designed to document the experiences I encountered in my life and how some of them rocked me to my core.

It’s about my personal and professional path to personal resilience and renewal. With my story, I wish to help others know that big challenges can come to ordinary people. But, you too, can persevere. You, too, can dig yourself out of the painful trenches and find a path forward.

ann schreiber - Author

Ann Schreiber is an accomplished freelance copywriter, blogger, and owner of ‘Copywriting For You.’ She has been in the marketing and sales business for over 25 years and is passionate about business-focused writing.

She released her first book in 2024, Perseverance. Reinvention, which will be re-released in late 2024 by Fox Pointe Publishing, LLP. She is working on her next book, which chronicles the mistakes she made during her first year as a small business owner in copywriting and content writing—two very different disciplines. With this book, which will be released in the spring of 2025, she hopes to help aspiring copywriters and content writers hit the ground running.

Like many writers, Ann began her writing career very young. During recess in elementary school, she would pen short stories in her notebook. When her family invested in their first personal computer in the mid-1980s, she taught herself to type and spent her free time writing fiction stories. Later, she held various positions with the Rosemount High School newspaper and served as editor-in-chief during her senior year. She then became the co-editor-in-chief of the student paper at Inver Hills Community College.

Ann received her bachelor's degree in English communications from the University of Minnesota and her master's degree in business communication from the University of St. Thomas. She has two adult children and remarried in February 2023. She is now blessed with a young stepdaughter as well.

When Ann isn’t busy typing away on her laptop for her clients or for fun, she enjoys reading. Her favorite authors include Colleen Hoover, Jodi Picoult, and Kristin Hannah. Ann also enjoys spending time outdoors, working out on the Peloton, and taking her son’s Bassett Hound for daily walks.

Ann is in the early ideation stages for a series of books about becoming a stepmother, including a non-fiction guide to step-momming and a fiction story depicting the true love between a stepmother and stepdaughter.

The Top 10 Mistakes I Learned…

Jumping into the world of copywriting was much like walking a tightrope—I knew how to do the writing and manage the clients but I was completely unprepared for all the businessy things that needed to be done.

In The Top 10 Mistakes I Made My First Year as a Copywriter, I share those smack-your-forward-in-disbelief blunders, from the tempting trap of investing in a website on the cheap to the regretful moment I realized I had no legal contract in place for my clients—and no protection for my billable revenue. Ouch!
