“The projects within the Crafts Create Change book are super easy to follow and truly contain something for everyone at any skill level. Not only will it help with refreshing your sewing skills, but it will also teach you some new ones along the way. I am so happy to have this book as I will never run out of creative projects to donate.”

"I love the concept of this book, and I like how each craft has a justification or explanation for how it's beneficial. I think the explanations are very thorough for people who are somewhat experienced, they might be a little trickier for less experienced crafters, which is fine, as long as it's made clear in the book description somehow. I thought the color schemes and layout were great."

This book is not just any craft book. In fact, it’s so much more than a craft book. It’s a tool for positive change in your community and in the world.

Alicia Sanchez, founder of the “Dear God, Are We There Yet?” volunteer travel community, shows crafters and sewing enthusiasts how to identify the opportunities for change around them and how to use their hands and their creativity to make those changes happen. These sewing & craft projects are easy enough for someone of any age or skill level to do. Alicia also provides additional online resources, such as step-by-step instructional videos for each project and a donation directory for finding where to donate the handicrafts you make.

Crafts Create Change has over forty different projects to choose from, including community projects. Start making meaningful, functional crafts to create positive change today!

80% of the profits from this book will go directly to the "Dear God, Are We There Yet?" Impact Microgrants.

Reviews

"This book empowers community members to make a difference. I have heard of so many people making caps and blankets for different settings to donate, and since the pandemic face masks have been huge! It’s wonderful to have a one-stop-shop for many projects that will help us help others. The projects are fun and are laid out in an easy and understandable way. Even the more difficult projects seem attainable after practice. I am out of practice with sewing, but cannot wait to get sewing and donate items to the community using this accessible (and aesthetically pleasing) craft book!"

“Crafts Create Change is an excellent craft book for beginners or advanced crafters. Very easy instructions laying out all the materials you'll need for the project as well as simple directions on how to put it all together with photos all through.

One of my favorites was the doggie chew toy. So adorable and even if you don't have a dog you could make up several for your local pet shelter who are always in need.

Also, I sure wish those Cuddle Cloth Diapers would have been around in my day! Not only do they reek of cuteness but need no pins to stick in poor babies’ sides! The joys of Velcro!”
